Toronto native Paul Coffey established several records during his heralded NHL career. In a career that included time with the Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Los Angeles Kings, Detroit Red Wings, Hartford Whalers, Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks, Carolina Hurricanes and Boston Bruins. He is a four-time Stanley Cup champion and was voted to the NHL’s First All-Star Team four times and to the Second Team on another four occasions. He was named he Norris Trophy winner as the league’s best defenceman three times. He holds several records, including most goals in a season by a defenceman (48 in 1985-86), most points in a game by a defenceman (8, in March 1986) and most goals, assists and points in one playoff year (12 goals, 25 assists and 37 points in 1985). Paul sits 13th all-time in career NHL points and ranks second all-time among NHL defenceman in career goals, assists and points. Internationally, he won Canada Cup championships in 1984, 1987 and 1991. Paul was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2004.
