Tara Slone has joined the Scotiabank Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer team!

Slone straddles two passions: music and hockey. In 1997, she became the lead singer of Joydrop after answering an ad in NOW Magazine. The band released ‘Metasexual,’ with its wonderful track ‘Beautiful,’ in 1999 and ‘Viberate,’ led by ‘Sometimes Wanna Die,’ in 2001, earning the band a Juno Nomination in the Best New Group category. Tara acted in several TV series and hosted ‘Breakfast Television’ on CityTV Calgary from 2010 until 2015. In October 2014, Tara joined Ron MacLean on ‘Rogers Hometown Hockey,’ and just before completing a third wildly successful season, Tara and Joydrop reunited to perform ‘Beautiful’ on the show.
