Bernie Nicholls, a scoring dynamo during his NHL days, has joined the Scotiabank® Road Hockey To Conquer Cancer team!
Even as a junior, Bernie Nicholls could score in quantity and quality, but once he reached the NHL, the stakes were that much higher. Joining the Los Angeles Kings following the 1980 Draft, he went on to score 70 goals in one season, one of only eight NHL players to accomplish that feat, and he collected 150 points during one campaign, one of only five to reach that plateau. Bernie collected 1,209 regular season points in 1,127 games through 17 NHL seasons. He played with Los Angeles, the New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, New Jersey Devils, Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks.
